Coach Lee Greenwood gaining valuable insight irrespective of Dewsbury Rams’ pre-season results
After drawing with Betfred Championship rivals Batley Bulldogs on Boxing Day, Rams were pipped 26-24 at League One Keighley Cougars two days ago.
“The start of the game was all right,” Greenwood insisted. “I felt we were pretty dominant in the first half-hour and it did look like a Championship team against a League One team.

“Fair play to Keighley; they were the more dominant side for 50 minutes and it could have gone either way at the end.
“I am not really bothered about the result; it is the performance I am looking at.”
Greenwood was, however, “pleased” with the way Rams played before the changes.

“That is what friendlies are for.
“If I really wanted to win the game I would have done different things. I wouldn’t have made massive changes at certain points in the game.
“But you have got lads sat there wanting game time and you need a proper look at them. That’s what the friendlies are for and I will be doing the same this Sunday against Bradford.”
