LEEDS United midfielder Kalvin Phillips says the hard graft will continue as England approach the Euro 2020 knockout stages, declaring: "we'll be ready" come the last 16.

Phillips is the only outfield player in Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad to have played every minute of England s three group stage games at this summer's European Championships.

The Yorkshire Pirlo came through his latest full match in Tuesday evening's clash against the Czech Republic at Wembley in which a 1-0 victory thanks to a Raheem Sterling header ensured England finished top of Group D with seven points out of a possible nine.

Sterling was also on target after a Phillips assist as England's Euros began with a 1-0 victory against Croatia which was followed by a goalless draw against Scotland.

The Three Lions will face the runners up of Group F in the last 16 at Wembley next Tuesday tea time and Group F will be brought to a conclusion on Wednesday night.

Germany currently occupy second spot of the much discussed 'group of death' which is led by France.

Portugal sit third and even fourth-placed Hungary could yet qualify.

But England's place in the last 16 is already assured and Phillips says his side will arrive at the knockout stages well prepared.

"Top of the group, no goals conceded and still unbeaten," said Phillips on a social media post.

"The hard work continues. We’ll be ready."
