WITH Mushtaq Navsarka back in form with the bat and Garry Dawber playing a captain's part with the ball, WOODKIRK put an end to their losing run in CYL Division Two.
Up against Ossett A at home, Dawber's men recovered well from 39-4 to make 210. Mushtaq led the way with 80, good support came from Steven Dawber with 37 and Munaf Navsarka, 18, and there were handy late runs from Shahid Mahmood who hit 27 from his number 10 position.

Ossett were given a good start in their reply as they stood at 83-2, but it was downhill from there as spinner Dawber brought himself on and the last eight visitors wickets tumbled for 30 runs to leave them all out for 113. Dawber finished with 6-21 from 12.5 overs while Mahmood claimed 2-41, Patrick Hinchliffe 1-32 and Gary Close 1-14.

WOODKIRK A struggled to halt the run of leaders Northowram Fields A in Division Four.

Batting first, they found it hard going and were restricted to 100-9 with Mark Addinall hitting 26, Ilyas Chunara 21 and Shoaib Dadhiwala 18. In reply, Northowram reached their target for the loss of two wickets in the 25th over with the only successful Woodkirk bowler proving Paul Gape (2-14).
