The fire broke out at the scrapyard on Rutland Street, Bradford, at about 7pm.

Two pumps from Bradford and pumps from Shipley and Odsal were called to tackle the fire.

Crews used three large jets, four breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire, which involved about 20 cars.
