Police break up Saturday night car meet of 150 vehicles "causing nuisance" in West Yorkshire

Police were called to a car meet on the Euroway Industrial Estate, Bradford, which was "causing a nuisance for the local residents and businesses".
Around 150 vehicles were in attendance at the meet, police confirmed.

Hide AdMost of the drivers dispersed when police arrived - but will be "dealt with later following CCTV analysis".
It was reported that vehicles were racing on the estate and driving dangerously "putting ordinary members of the public using the road network at risk".
A BMW M5 "was left insecure in a car park with valuables on display" and seized as abandoned by police.
The Bradford South team from WYP said: "The vehicle was seized as abandoned due to its state of insecurity and the fact that cannabis was found in the car.
"Of course we wouldn’t want anybody stealing that!

Hide Ad"Bradford NPT and partner agencies including Bradford Council, Highways and Environmental Health are working hard to deter the car meets which are particularly ridiculous to say we are still in a pandemic and the virus has not disappeared.
"Those committing offences including dangerous driving and putting other people at risk will be dealt with robustly."
A Public Space Protection Order is in force across the Bradford District in relation to vehicles causing a nuisance and driving offences and "these selfish actions will not be tolerated", police concluded.
