Armed police called to man with axe in Holbeck and arrest two men

West Yorkshire Police said they were called to reports of a disturbance involving a man with an axe outside an address in Meynell Square in Holbeck.
The incident happened this morning (Tuesday, August 18).
Armed police were sent to the scene by West Yorkshire Police.

Hide AdTwo men, aged 32 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of affray.
The 32-year-old was treated at hospital for a head injury before being taken into custody.
Both men remained in custody as of Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Shortly after midnight this morning (18/8) police were called to reports of a disturbance involving a man with an axe outside an address in Meynell Square, Holbeck.
"Armed officers were deployed to the scene and two men, aged 32 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of affray. The 32-year-old was treated at hospital for a head injury before being taken into custody where both remain.
