ALL Army cadets should be used to marching, but 16-year-old Ryan Harrison has probably done more in one go than most!
Ryan, a member of the 168 City of Leeds ATC, was honoured to represent the city in the 100-mile Nijmegan march in Holland.

The march, which takes place over four days in July, attracts thousands of military contingents each year from across Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada and Asia.

Woodkirk High School pupil Ryan, of Curlew Rise, was given the opportunity to train for the march and after the successful completion of the RAF WARMA two-day march at RAF Cosford, which was 50 miles in two days, he was placed on the South and West Yorkshire Nijmegan team to represent Leeds.

After four hard and challenging days Ryan completed the march and was presented with his well-earned Nijmagen March Military Medal.

Morley Town Council's development fund and 168 ATC sponsored him towards the cost of the trip and he said he wanted to thank them for all their help.
