Glasvegas in quick return to Leeds

COOL new indie stars Glasvegas seem to be making Leeds their new spiritual home as they get set to play their third gig in the city in four months.
The Scottish band, currently high in the charts with their Daddy's Gone single, were a huge success at the Leeds Festival and it's no surprise that their gig at the Cockpit later this month sold out in quick time.
They are appearing at the intimate Leeds venue on Tuesday, September 16 – a week after the release of their much-anticipated debut album which was co-produced by Rich Costey (Franz Ferdinand, Interpol & Muse) and band member James Allan.
Glasvegas includes Daddy's Gone as well as previous hit single Geraldine, and It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry which received a limited edition single release.
The band from Dalmarnock, Glasgow have revealed themselves to be great social commentators already with their lyrics attracting much attention and they have been something of a hot property since first delivering their Phil Spector meets Beach Boys by way of Jesus and Mary Chain sound outside of their hometown.
Glasvegas found themselves at the centre of a bidding war from several major record labels before plumping for Columbia earlier this year and have been tipped by many people as the next big thing on the alternative rock scene.
The lucky people to have a ticket for the Cockpit can find out why.
