Man injured in West Yorkshire prompts air ambulance response

An ambulance and air ambulance attended to a man who had got his foot trapped in the Knottingley area of Wakefield.
The service was called at around 3:20pm today to the incident by the side of a river.

Hide AdThe patient was transferred to Pinderfields hospital by land in the ambulance with reports of a lower leg injury.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We got a call at 15:18 to reports of a male with his foot trapped.
"We sent an ambulance and the air ambulance was also in attendance.
"The patient was transferred to Pinderfields hospital by land with reports of a lower leg injury."
