Man airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by car in Leeds

UPDATE: Police have confirmed the man has died from injuries sustained in the crashEmergency crews were called to the crash on Gledhow Valley Road, between Chapel Allerton and Moortown, at 1.04pm.
A pedestrian in his sixties had been hit by a car, at the junction with Allerton Grange Gardens, and suffered life threatening injuries.

Hide AdThe air ambulance attended and the man was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police says the driver of the car stopped at the scene and was spoken to by officers.
There are road closures and a large police scene in place at the junction of Gledhow Valley Road, Allerton Grange Gardens and Harrogate Road.
