Hide AdJessica Reeves. Fuji Hiro has been in Leeds for ages, hasn’t changed much but the food is always great. Much better than the chains.
Adam Carr. Bar Soba on Merrion Street, which also does Thai food. Generous portions and lots of choice, with a bar too.
Helen Jeffries. Wasabi on Albion Street, gorgeous food that’s popular with students. Quick service and really good value.
Muz Malik. Chino Latino on Boar Lane. Lots of different cuisines in one place, but the sushi is good.

Hide AdTom Smyth. Sushiwaka which is next to Leeds Grand Theatre. Good choice and reasonable value, although service can be slow. Recommend the bento boxes and handy for pre-theatre dining.
Alicia Conrad. Sesame has a nice salad bar with Japanese choices like teriyaki salmon and spicy noodles. Can be busy but worth waiting for.
Tim Anderson. Wasabi. Love the chicken yakisoba noodles. Really authentic with lots of hot dishes to choose from. Near Park Row so good for office lunch breaks.
Lydia Rainey. Juici Sushi at Bridgewater Place. Really fresh and aimed at office workers. Sandwiches have Japanese fillings and there are hot dishes as well as cold sushi. Great for a takeaway lunch.

Hide AdLisa Lyle. In Bramley there’s a place called Hana Matsuri. Huge choice of sushi but it’s delivery only as they’re more of a caterer. Worth ordering in advance though if you’re having a party.
