Police horses assist 'day of action' in crackdown on serious crime in inner city Leeds

The West Yorkshire Police 'day of action' took place in east Leeds on Tuesday March 2.
Officers from the East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT) led the operation within the Lincoln Green and Haslewood areas of Burmantofts.

Hide AdThe high visibility patrols were organised in the hope of disrupting serious and organised crime and engaging with local people.
Team 3 Burmantofts and Richmond Hill NPT officers were assisted by West Yorkshire Police Mounted Section.
A police spokesperson said: "A number of people were stopped and spoken to by the officers throughout the day and a vehicle was seized after checks highlighted the driver was not insured.
"A vast area was covered in the locality with thanks to West Yorkshire Police Horses and the local community were pleased to see the mounted officers and horses.
